UNIVERSITY CONTEST

Contest Challenge:

Develop innovative solutions using space technology to address climate change challenges faced by Pakistan.

Eligibility

University students from various disciplines (engineering, technology, computer science, physics, environmental science, etc.)

Contest Categories

(Universities can participate in one category or a maximum of two categories.)

  1. Climate Monitoring: Develop a space-based solution for monitoring climate indicators (e.g., sea level rise, deforestation, ocean health).
  2. Sustainable Resource Management: Create a space-enabled solution for optimizing resource usage (e.g., water, energy, land).
  3. Climate Resilience: Design a space-based solution to enhance climate resilience (e.g., early warning systems, disaster response).
  4. Carbon Footprint Reduction: Develop a space-enabled solution to reduce carbon emissions (e.g., sustainable transportation, renewable energy).
Rules & Guidelines:
  • The contest is open to university students from various disciplines including, but not limited to, engineering, technology, computer science, physics, and environmental science.
  • One team can consist of a maximum of four members.
  • Participants may choose to compete in one or a maximum of two categories.
  • Teams must submit a detailed proposal as per given format below.
  • Proposal must accompany a video, no longer than 10 minutes, that includes an overview of the proposed solution, the technical approach and innovation, and a demonstration of the prototype or a detailed description if a prototype is not applicable, ensuring the video is clear and well-structured.
  • The video should be in a widely accepted format (e.g., MP4, AVI).
  • The contest organizers reserve the right to amend the rules and guidelines as necessary.
  • Participants must adhere to principles of academic integrity and honesty. Plagiarism or any form of academic dishonesty will result in disqualification.
